Here are our rules for managing user properties in the Boost My Mail portal
1) We have 3 modes of retrieving your user properties:
- Manual - web form
- Excel - bulk import
- Automatic - Office 365 & GSuite
2) Each mode has its specificities...
- Manual mode
Manual mode only enables you to modify standard properties directly from the Boost My Mail portal web interfaces.
- Excel mode
Excel mode enables you to act on all properties, including customised properties. You can also act on user/group associations.
Any newcomer, and any modification to a user profile, will be subject to a complete new import.
Boost My Mail is a sort of copy of what is in your Excel file; anything that isn’t in the Excel file when you import it will be deleted from Boost My Mail.
- Automatic mode
Automatic mode enables you to automatically retrieve the user properties stored in your Cloud user directory at regular intervals.
This mode prevents properties from being modified manually or via the Excel file. Any manual modification would be overwritten during an automatic synchronisation routine.
Similarly, when this mode is activated, deleting a user is no longer possible from the interface (a deleted user would reappear the next day, following synchronisation)
If you need to modify a property, you must make the request to the person responsible for your organisation’s user directory.
